Hula classes include dances in the ancient form of hula (hula kahiko), as well as the more contemporary form of hula (hula ‘auana). ‘Ori Tahiti classes include dances and movements for both drum (ote’a) and lyrical (aparima) forms of ‘Ori; traditional and modern styles are taught. Hawaiian and Tahitian lyrics are discussed as they relate to each song learned.
